District Safety Officer

Location:  District Wide 

 

 Availability:  Approximately August 1, 2026

 

 

Qualifications: Law Enforcement Required; Experience in school setting perferred  

 

 

Position Goal:

 

To ensure a safe, secure, and orderly/friendly educational environment for students and staff through the leadership of district-wide safety and security programs, emergency preparedness, law enforcement partnerships, and oversight of student residency and registration compliance.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Lead district-wide safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts, including drills, crisis response, and incident management.
• Supervise and coordinate security personnel, hall monitors, visitor management, and identification programs across all schools.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement, emergency management agencies, and first responders.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate safety and security policies, procedures, training programs, residency and building security assessments to all staff.
• Provide 24/7 response and support for emergencies, safety concerns, investigations, and other matters necessary to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment
